Hello Spring!

April 2nd, 2023 by

It looks like spring has finally arrived to Central Maine. While we have had the opportunity to visit some amazing businesses and enjoy some great events this winter it is time to enjoy all our community has to offer. So grab your mud boots and let’s see what the community has to offer us this month!

If you are ready to head outside and savor the spring air, head on out to one of the many trails in the area. Whether you enjoy a leisurely hike through the woods or a want to take a relaxed stroll along the river, there is something for everyone. If you are looking for a little more of a challenge, don’t miss out on this year’s Dirty Dog Mud Run. A family friendly run with an obstacle course and mud, how can we resist?

April is also shaping up to be a great month to check out a show, or two at the Waterville Opera House. Are you looking for comedy? They have a spectacular line up. The Play That Goes Wrong, Tape Face, Juston McKinney, and Whose Live is it Anyway. Closing out the month is The Sixties Show. You won’t want to miss it; it’s going to be a gas! Now that they are done spring training, you won’t want to miss your chance at catching our local high school athletes on the field! We have all your favorites’ right here, from baseball and softball, lacrosse, tennis, and outdoor track. Let’s show our local teams how much we support them by filling the stands at each game!

Sports Calendars: Black Raiders Athletics, Waterville Purple Panthers

While you are out enjoying everything our community has to offer, remember that spring is a time for new beginnings. It is a season that welcomes growth and change. What changes are you looking forward to this spring?
