June at Central Maine Motors Auto Group – Welcoming Summer in Central Maine

Summer is here, and at Central Maine Motors Auto Group, we’re excited for the warm weather, longer days, and all the local events that make this season so special. June is packed with opportunities to get out, support the community, and enjoy everything our region has to offer.

Cruisin’ for a Cure – June 7th at Robert LaFleur Airport

A highlight of the month is the Cruisin’ for a Cure Car Show, taking place on Friday, June 7th at the Robert LaFleur Airport in Waterville. This popular event features a wide range of classic and custom vehicles, with proceeds supporting the Maine Children’s Cancer Program. It’s a great way to enjoy the local car scene while giving back to a meaningful cause. Awards like People’s Choice and Best of Show will also be announced during the event, recognizing some of the standout vehicles on display.

Celebrate Summer with Local Markets

June also marks the return of some fantastic local markets that showcase the best of Maine:

  • Belgrade Lakes Market celebrates its Opening Day this month, bringing farm-fresh produce, handmade goods, and a festive atmosphere to the heart of the lakes region.
  • The Modern Market at Head of Falls in Waterville is another seasonal favorite, offering a curated experience with local vendors, food, and crafts along the beautiful riverfront.

Whether you’re out exploring the local markets, attending events, or just enjoying the sunshine, we hope this season brings you plenty of reasons to get outside and connect with your community.

Wishing you a wonderful start to summer!

How did you get into the car business? “I got into the car business because I genuinely enjoy helping people solve their needs/problems.  As we live in a rural area in Maine, I found that one of the major issues people tend to face within our community is transportation.  I stumbled upon an opportunity with Central Maine Motors, where I can genuinely make a difference.”

What’s one skill you’ve picked up on the job that surprised you? “One of the most surprising skills I have developed in my time with Central Maine Motors, is the ability to have fun.  My background is in business development, and most recently construction estimating.  Through my time in the Auto industry, it has been a pleasant surprise how important my ability to have fun reflects in my quality of service to my customers. It has been extremely refreshing to provide a fun, enjoyable experience for those who I am fortunate enough to work with.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with this team? “Overall, my favorite aspect of working with the Central Maine Motors team is how much support we have within our roles.  Central Maine Motors has given us an abundance of opportunity, and plenty of room to grow, with proper leadership behind us to help us flourish.  More specifically, my team at Ford has been one of the most well-formed groups I have had the pleasure of being a part of.  EVERYONE is willing to jump in and help at any moment in time, and we have built somewhat of a family culture in our dealership, I have a genuine appreciation for each and every one I work with daily.”

What local farmers’ market or outdoor event do you try not to miss? “While I do enjoy good fresh picked fruits or vegetables, I spend most of my free time on the Golf Course! As a former athlete, I find the casually competitive atmosphere golf brings is very relaxing!”
