If you haven’t heard, Buen Apetito has found a new home at 99 West River Road. What better way to honor their new beginning than to celebrate this Cinco de Mayo with them and your favorite Mexican dish? With an exciting menu of fresh made items to choose from you will not leave hungry. So, what will it be? Tacos, enchiladas, or maybe tamales?
Let’s not forget that May is the month we celebrate all things mom! We all know mom loves breakfast in bed but if you are looking for an alternative Central Maine has some amazing brunch options. Head right to downtown Waterville and you have Front and Main and Silver Street Tavern. Both options have a great menu that will leave mom wanting more. Just up the road you will find Erica’s where brunch is always an option!
If mom is looking to go out to a show this month, make sure you check out, “For the Pleasure of Seeing Her Again“. This comedy show featuring Marie Cormier and Michael Pullen is one show you will not want to miss!
If you are thinking it is time to expand the flower garden or you are ready to grow your own vegetables this year, you will want to make sure you swing by the plant sale happening at the Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area. They will have an assortment of plants to choose from and all proceeds will go directly towards benefitting their programs.
As we move into the warmer months, Waterville’s farmer market is also moving back to the Head of Falls! You will not be disappointed in the freshness or quality of the items these amazing farmers and producers bring to the market each week! From vegetables, meat and dairy products, to baked goods and even pizza! Be sure you swing by and take a peek at what they have to offer each week!
With the opening of the Farmer’s Market at the Head of Falls, the Children’s Discovery Museum will also be out and about with their Mobile Museum. Make it a family trip and check out all the offerings the museum has to offer for the youngest members of our community.
As we move in to the warmer months we will be ready to get outside. Whether you will be gardening, hiking, or just sitting by the lake, be sure to make time to spend time with people you care about and be sure to enjoy everything our great community has to offer!
